An exceptional Caucasian runner, hand woven in the Talish region of Azerbaijan circa 1900’s with a geometrical design on an indigo field and ivory border. A highly collectible rug with fabulous wool quality and stunning secondary colours.
Size: 2.97m x 1.22m (9ft 9in x 4ft)
This runner is in very good condition with light, age related wear. The fringes are original and selvedges are secure. Slight corrosion to brown wool in the detail, giving the design a raised appearance.
