Marguerite Stuber Pearson was a well-known Boston artist who worked both in Boston and Rockport Massachusetts. She’s extremely well-known for her wonderful portraits. The frame is original and I believe it was made by Newcomb Macklin. The frame is wide and in great condition as is the oil painting itself. The portrait is of Joan Friborg all signed on reverse.
The young girl in the painting name is Joan Friborg It is signed on the back .
