"red flow ii" is … Read more Emma godebska's artwork is inspired by the parisian luxury world of fashion, textures and pure color. "red flow ii" is a dramatic and contemporary abstract painting. It is created using acrylic and pigments on lacquered capoverde canvas. "i work on a white surface, usually leaving the background pure, happily playing with the interaction of its texture with the paint. I create the colour by mixing paints, pigments, inks, playing with the paint dilution, exploiting its transparency effects, or its pigment accumulations. I try to emphasize the fluidity of the material, and look in the gesture for a balance between tension and slackening, concentration and spontaneity, in order to reach an equilibrium in the composition. The result is floating in a white space, like a calligraphic sign. The superimposition of its elements and the contrast between the density and the transparency give a sculptural dimension to the composition." this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker.
