Richard G. Packer (American 1916 – 1998) North Conway, New Hampshire snow landscape oil painting of a maple syrup harvest. Oil on board presented in period dark wood frame. Signed lower right. Painting itself measures 35.8”W x 23.8”H.
Artist, teacher, and gallery owner, Packer mastered New England landscapes using traditional methods and subject matter. After receiving a bachelor's degree from Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, he and his wife would travel the United States, painting and selling works in a variety of subject matters.
