This Calendar, which can be dated between the 1950s and 1960s, has the particularity of never "expiring" and of being, as the name suggests, Perpetual. There is no year but only days and months which, printed on rolled paper, can be changed indefinitely thanks to those little black knobs. Certainly produced in Italy, this vintage table calendar recalls the style and materials used of the products made by the historic company Fontana Arte. This piece has a dual function; it consists of two parts, an ashtray in very thick beveled glass in Nile Green colour, decorated with engraved playing card suits and the small calendar in chromed aluminum mounted above. The decorative pattern with the playing card suits had to be initially coloured, at least the red suits, but today the tint is almost no longer present. This rare piece is in good condition with its gorgeous glass intact and playful working calendar roller system. The patina of time gives it a lot of charm. See less
