Arthur Court founded the company in 1966 with a focus on interior design. Arthur Court is an American designer and metalworker who is known for his work in aluminum tableware and home decor. He was born in 1939 in Minnesota, and grew up in California. Court began his career in the late 1960s, and his early designs were influenced by the organic forms of the Art Nouveau movement. He later developed his own style, which blended traditional and modern design elements with a focus on functionality and durability. Court's most famous designs include his signature "Grapevine" pattern, which features intricately detailed grape leaves and vines, as well as his animal themed pieces, such as his elephant and monkey designs. Court's work has been recognized with numerous awards, including induction into the California Home Furnishings Hall of Fame in 2013. His designs continue to be popular and are sold in stores and online retailers around the world. The breakthrough came in the 1970s when we became the first company in the US to incorporate aluminum into tabletop collections. Moving away from bronze, iron and steel. Since then, Arthur Court Designs remains a leader in the aluminum tableware and home decor industry. Arthur Court Designs is the pioneer of aluminum tableware in the USA. Committed to timeless beauty, artistic integrity, and uncompromising quality. Arthur Court products are handcrafted from high-quality aluminum, a lightweight metal that combines well with other materials, such as glass, wood, and acrylic. Their signature aluminum is handcrafted and sand-cast into unique shapes of detailed brilliance. Arthur Court Aluminum never tarnishes and will not require polishing like silver. The collections are hand cast, inspired by nature and travels, the places we call home, and a love for nature, celebration, tradition, and style. Artisans craft lustrous aluminum into themes of plants and animals that add elegance to the dining table. The unique product designs express life and movement in striking displays of beauty and texture.
