Produced as a part of the Chessmen collection piece, designed by Stefan Tabery for OPP Jihlava in 1960s. This lamp is in top, excellent condition. The red opaline shade is in deep red color. It sits on top of the white lamp which is underneath. with this piece, you are basically getting two lamps for one! The red shield is original and this is how the lamp was originally designed and made. The white base underneath shows detailed work of the Czech glassmen, who belong among the best in the Europe in 1960s. The lamp works without any flaws and looks stunning. Works on one bulb, original European plug. Checked by electrician. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
