On The Design:

A rich red field underscores medallions and geometric patterns in light pastel tones and black accents—a subversive use of bold and playful colors together that’s seen by many in our craft as a hallmark of Müren’s talents. The more modern approach to traditional, almost primitivist elements further speaks to Müren as an eclectic designer and marks his rugs as distinct for their period. It’s a light and joyful piece with the whimsy of a Zeki Müren rug, but also with the comfortable and livable undertone that his works also embody, so thoughtful in their approach to the postmodernist appeal of the time and collectible in his works curated today.
