The "cathedral" style chair was designed by John McGuire and features a gothic lancet arch style back and an open fretwork design reminiscent of Chinese chippendale styles. The set consists of six side chairs and two host armchairs measuring 22.5 inches wide. The frames are strong and sturdy with excellent joinery and craftsmanship . The rattan poles are lashed together with leather rawhide laces on the exposed joints. McGuire plaques are under the seat of each chair. The generous seat is topped with a new Belgian linen cushion.
