The apron is masterfully carved with matching patterns on the aprons. Scallop shells are centered between each leg surrounded by floral and foliate sprays, with acanthus leaves creating a scroll effect along the bottom edge. Flanking the center piece carving appears cross hatching with floral rosettes. All four legs are exquisite, blended beautifully into the attached aprons and carved with shell, acanthus leaf and bell flower on the shoulders, with curled feet.
