In almost all of Africa, well-filled granaries represent material wealth, security and well-being. The granaries are usually located high up, they are small adobe silos on stilts intended to store food products. A small staircase allows access. These pantries can have different dimensions and they store dried or smoked meat, cereals, shea and substances for magic and divination and any other food or substance important to the owner of the barn.
