Lesungs are rice mortars found on the island of java used to remove rice husks. The wood used for this mirror was sourced from the top side of the Lesung, allowing for a solid piece of teak wood to be used as a mirror frame. A wonderful age related patina adorns this piece, as well and wonderful wood marking and textures. The perfect piece to add contrast and warmth to any space.
