This beautiful sconce has three moving joints. On the backplate and the middle you have a dented joint for reaching any point. On the heads there is a turning and 90 degrees up and down to keep the shades vertical and aiming every position. Natural solid patinated brass. Aluminum shades dust sprayed lacquered in ivory and hand gilted by a local artisan in the Siena area. Pivoting heads helps with the light distribution in the room. Upper shades contribute to the ambiance light and lower shades for the direct light. Ideal side to fireplace so that the arm can reach a reading sofa. Or to give proper light to a console or a kitchen island. Backplate made to cover US standard Jbox. . Made by an Italian lab specialized in midcentury restoration. Everything is done with a passion for details and materials. Shades: Each shade is made of two separate shades and is 11in/27.5cm tall. Carries two bulbs, a candelabra socket on the smaller upper cone and a either a regular socket or candelabra on the larger lower dome shaped shade. In alternative both can carry candelabra socket. Larger shade is 8in/15cms diameter/wide. Shade have adjustable pivot head so that the output from the large shade can be directed to the desired area and the opposite would have ambiance light.
