Beautiful poster for an exhibition in 1962 at the Maeght gallery.
The Blue Rider (in German: Der blaue Reiter) is a group of artists of expressionist inspiration, which was formed in Munich. This group organized two exhibitions (in 1911 and 1912) and published an almanac in 1912.
Its main actors were Vassily Kandinsky, Franz Marc and August Macke, but also Gabriele Münter, Marianne von Werefkin, Heinrich Campendonk, David Bourliouk, Alexej von Jawlensky, Paul Klee and Alfred Kubin.
