Distinctive, intriguing vintage 1960s rice straw artwork that could be used as a tray, hung on a wall or be propped on a shelf.
The decorative scene depicts bison roaming near mountains.
This was made using an ancient art form that relies on rice straw - the dried leaves of the rice plant - to create works of art without the use of any paints, dyes, or other coloring agents. Only rice straw, backing paper, & a razor are used. In this case, rice straw has been laid on black board with a lacquer finish.
