Very decorative antique Japanese harvest basket from the Meiji period.
Dimensions: height 28 cm, diameter 43 cm.
This basket, made from bamboo and reinforced with washi paper, was used for harvesting rice, fruits, and herbs.
The washi paper prevents items from falling through the basket.
