A very scarce, early Cuban cookbook. Includes a dictionary of sorts of edible tropical flora, as well as a chapter on what to bring to Cuba, for newcomers. Recipes all include tropical fruits and vegetables, such as mango coffee cake, fruta de bomba preserves, banana sweet pickle, green plantain chips, aguacate salad (several varieties), okra fried as fish, guava vinegar, San Domingo mamey preserves, Jamaican green mangoes, malangas in bread, guanabana shortcake, etc.
