Magnificent Louis XVI style Queen's Cup, Directoire, with floral decoration, entirely hand painted and enhanced with gold paste. The handles are twisted and attached by two ties at the top of the cup. The first shaking cup dates from 1759 and was designed for Madame de Pompadour.
This very beautiful treasure comes from the La Seynie ( 1774-1983).
Following the discovery of kaolin in 1764, the first hard porcelain factory was built in 1774 by the Count of La Seynie, on his land, in Saint Yrieix-La-Perche in Haute-Vienne. The trademark is represented in cursive letter by LS and a dot, or interlaced LS.
This splendid cup in excellent condition bears the stamp on its bottom: L S / Limoges / France in chrome green
