This bronze sculpture illustrates a gull in full flight, wings outstretched and claws extended forward, skimming a wave.
The seabird is placed on a flat, rectangular black marble base contrasting with the color of the patina: green for the wave and brown for the animal.
This creation attributed to Erget (19th-20th century), animal sculptor, is interesting because of its dynamic representation of movement and the artisanal skill necessary to capture such detail in bronze.
