This peasant woman with a kind face stands gracefully and looks towards the ground. A “Fabrication Francaise Paris Made in France” stamp is affixed to the terrace near the artist’s signature.



Ernest Rancoulet is a 19th century sculptor, student of Lesquesne and the municipal school of Bordeaux. It appeared in the salon from 1870 to 1876.
