He graduated from the Graphic design faculty and painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. 1983 onward, he became the member of the « Group of Three » (Grupa Trzech) also called « Tercet nadety ». "Even though a lot is shown in realist painting, one realizes that realism can always defend itself.
