A unique pair of vintage hand carved wood foo dogs statues made of a very dark stained wood.

Foo dogs are symbolic, protective statues, and they are designed in pairs one is female, the other is male. The female represents yin, and symbolically protects the people dwelling inside the home, while the male statue, representing yang, protects the structure itself.
The Foo Dog is thought to have strong mythical powers of protection and can still be seen today at the entrances of temples, palaces, homes, and even government offices.
The dogs are in very good condition.
