This was or is a rare antique thurible, incense burner so most likely in this condition, not recommended as a soup pot.
There is no scorched area.
There are no cracks or dents.
See rivets as evidence of craftsmanship, age and joined parts. Very elaborate overall, 2/ pieces plus some of a vintage hanging chain.
Chain replaced to be more modern every day 1970s.
This planter can be used to house fire, as it was an incense burner. Put a small fire for a fire pit.
Versatile and quite a beauty.
Hanging chain. See cut out shapes in base and sculpted handles or arms on pot.
Not signed. One modification is the most recent owner he did paint the interior gold to clean it up and honor it. There was evidence of incense in it therefore the paint looks like the type that handles heat without an issue.
