Bring a striking piece of history and timeless Chinoiserie elegance into your home. This magnificent 36-inch, three-tiered vintage Chinese wedding basket dates back to the Republic Period (1912–1949). Masterfully hand-woven from natural bamboo and rattan, this large-scale statement piece features beautifully intricate woven character accents on the handle and bands, symbolizing celebration and tradition. Contains three storage compartments. The basket has a large character on the top and woven patterns on all sides. The tiered basket sits in a large bamboo frame with an iron handle.
Size: 36” high total x 17 1/2" wide x 17 1/2" deep.

The structural integrity is strong, and the stackable tiers fit together securely. Shows a beautiful, authentic aged patina to the wood and bamboo. As with all genuine hand-woven antiques, minor superficial wear, surface dust, or slight looseness to the reed weaving may be present, adding to its historic character. Please review all high-resolution photos closely as they form part of the description. less
