Giesmann, a graduate of the Cranbrook Academy of Art, is best known as a ceramist. He taught at the Art Institute of Chicago, and his works have been widely exhibited throughout the United States, and have won numerous prizes in both competitive and invitational exhibitions. CityScape, on Strathmore paper with watercolor highlights in sepia, blue and white, is lively and spontaneous. See less
