Beautiful abstract work by Henri Nouveau (Henrik Neugeboren) from 1955. The composition is beautiful with the different color areas and lines.
Nouveau mainly used oil paint and oil chalk, he also used pencil for the design of the work. Oil chalk is a chalk made on the basis of oil paint with a high pigment content. It is very similar to oil paint, but the chalk does not dry out completely and thus does not harden. The artwork is vividly and beautifully colored.
The work is monogrammed and dated lover left in ink 'H.N. 1955'.
On the back is also hand-signed and inscribed: Henri Nouveau Sans Titte, 1955. Lot 122. Certificate of authenticity included (issued by gallery)

The work is framed behind glass and passpartout in the original old black wooden frame (framing most probably made by the artist himself).
