* Ernst Fuchs is considered a co-founder of the Viennese School of Fantastic Realism and was friends with Salvador Dali, among others. He was not only a painter and graphic artist, but also a sculptor, stage designer, composer and author. Mystical or astrological symbols often appear in his surreal works, lending his paintings a unique fantasy quality.
