This French Provincial settee has a beautifully composed silhouette, with gently curving lines, a sculpted wood frame, and just enough flourish to keep restraint from becoming dull.

The Jane Shelton Botanical Acanthus Vine embroidery is where this settee quietly steals the show. Sage greens, warm browns, and softened reds weave across a khaki ground with the confidence of a pattern that has absolutely nothing to prove. It's botanical without being precious, intricate without descending into visual chatter. The sort of upholstery that makes a room look collected rather than decorated—and saves everyone from having to call it a conversation starter.

A removable, zippered, down-filled cushion brings welcome comfort to the composition. Because beauty is all very well, but furniture that expects you to sit bolt upright and admire it from a respectful distance has fundamentally misunderstood its assignment.

Place it in an entrance hall, at the foot of a bed, or in a reading room that deserves something more interesting than another upholstered bench. It settles in effortlessly, lends the room a little history, and makes everything around it look rather more intentional.

Graceful, collected, and entirely sure of its place. It doesn't follow the room's lead rather it gives the room better direction.
