Special English office chair made by Trapnell & Gane from Cardiff. This chair is made of solid oak and has a very decorative wood grain on the seat. The chair is in very good condition considering its age, is not rickety and is comfortable. The only thing to note are a few old woodworm holes sporadically, which have been checked. The Trapnell & Gane company started as early as 1824 and was known for its high quality furniture, which was often purchased by people of status. The company had several locations and eventually closed its doors shortly after World War II. The Cardiff branch was sold in the 1930s, so this chair also dates from before that time. 45cm seat height, 83cm back height, 68cm wide, 58cm deep. This piece has an attribution mark,
