This special cupboard was probably used as a bread or bacon cupboard. The cabinet has two doors and a very graceful crest with shelf. The whole has the original paint which is heavily worn. A nice detail is that the bottom door bears the initials and year (1932) of a restorer who once updated the painting. Both doors can be easily locked and are equipped with a key. Occasionally some old woodworm traces are visible, which have obviously been treated. In the past, it was customary to give bridal furniture like this as a gift to the couple at a wedding. This furniture was subsequently placed on the farm in a stately room that was only rarely used for high-ranking visitors or special occasions. All our bridal wardrobes have been checked and, if necessary, restored, although the characteristic appearance of these examples has been retained.
