Jean-Baptiste Arthur Calame born in October 1843 in Geneva where he is and died in February 1919.
He was a Swiss painter and engraver.
Arthur Calame is the son of the painter Alexandre Calame (1810-1864) of whom he is a student.
He spent two years at the Düsseldorf Academy, then traveled to Italy from where he brought back numerous landscapes.
He also creates some plates in etching. Wooden frame and gilded plaster
