This Circa late 1940s oil on canvas interior scene of a female figure is by San Francisco North Beach artist Martin Snipper (1914-2008). Snipper studied at the National Academy of Art In New York and exhibited at the San Francisco Art Museum's (later to become SFMOMA) annual exhibitions. He was Director of the San Francisco Art Festival and Arts Commission.
Painted at 18 Edith Street in North Beach.
