This 1980 graphite on paper abstract is by East Coast painter, printmaker, and designer Jane Mitchell (1915-1988). Mitchell studied Art History and Fine Art at Wheaton College and University of Iowa. She lived and worked in Ibiza, Spain during the 1950s-60s and was influenced by Cubism and Surrealism. Mitchell exhibited throughout the U.S. and Spain during her lifetime.
Signed and dated lower right.
