This is a gorgeous Double-Sided Original Watercolor painting done on heavy Arches Paper by Listed California artist, Rich Buchwald (1925-2009). Buchwald studied at the Chicago Art Institute and his works have been exhibited worldwide. His delicate yet deliberate brush strokes create lovely soft images unlike no other. He is known for his landscapes and seascapes, as well as his tasteful nudes. Some of his paintings were featured in designer Emily Henderson's latest book. He has won countless awards for his works.
He is a tremendous artist and this is an excellent example of his work. On one side you will find a stunning depiction of the famous San Diego Bay Skyline and on the reverse is the famous Star of India ship located in downtown San Diego. Done around 1985. Signed on both sides. Truly two complete paintings in one. You choose which side to display or have it framed to show both!
We have a small collection of Buchwald paintings so please see our other listings for more.
