Zita Sudnika, Oak. 1991. Oil on canvas, 90x60 cm
The painting depicts a solitary tree standing tall in the midst of a lush, sun-kissed summer field. The tree's branches stretch out like withered arms, its leaves a vibrant green that seems to glow against the warm, golden light of the sun. The surrounding landscape is bathed in a soft, haze-like atmosphere, with wildflowers and tall grasses swaying gently in the summer wind. In the distance, the rolling hills of the countryside fade into the horizon, creating a sense of depth and tranquility. The tree, however, remains the focal point of the painting, its isolation and stillness evoking a sense of proud loneliness and deserved majesty. Overall, the picture has a relaxing atmosphere and evokes a feeling of warm childhood nostalgia.
