It features a monograph collection of the artworks of the artist Mark Rothko, with compelling text authored by Bonnie Clearwater, foundation curator.

Mark Rothko ( 1903 - 1970 ) is an American Modernist painter of Russian Jewish descent. Although Rothko himself refused to adhere to any art movement, he is generally defined as an Abstract Expressionist. His bold use of color fields make the artworks impressively iconic and highly individual. Rothko is considered to be one of the most important and influential American painters of The Twentieth Century. Artworks by Rothko are included in the collections of many of the world's most prestigious museums.

The rare out of print collector's Abstract Expressionist exhibition art book measures 8 3/4" W X 11 1/2" H X 1/2" D, with 144 pages. It features 125 illustrations, including 98 full color offset lithograph plates, and two special double sided center fold-out pages. It is printed on smooth finish premium paper stock.
