This large old master still life painting is a perfectly balanced composition of fruit and game birds. In the foreground a rabbit is stretched out. A copper kettle and a basket are placed in the center. The light which floods the painting reflects the artistic execution of a Dutch master. The opulently garnished table is a feast for the eye. This brilliant masterpiece is a rare find.
The untouched painting is unsigned and unframed. It is relined. Considering the age of the painting (about 400 years) it is well preserved.
