This is a functional gilded Biedermeier commode clock with musical mechanism (2 melodies), a regulator from the Biedermeier period around 1835. This regulator was recently overhauled by a renowned clockmaker and works of course perfectly. This regulator is decorated with gilded columns, gilded harp, gilded ox tines, eagle and a very nice Venetian motif. This Biedermeier commode clock is handmade and was made of high quality wood. The clocks has elaborate details such as crown, engraving and ornaments to enhance the impression of luxury and elegance. This dresser clock is a very valuable antique and is mostly found in art collections or private homes . The Biedermeier -column clock is considered a masterpiece in the world of antique clocks and is still highly sought after today for its ornate craftsmanship and aesthetic value.
