Antique English Tiger bamboo Cantebury/magazine stand, c.1880
In very good antique condition. All joints glued and secured, firm construction. Lacquer panels also in good condition with minor wear.the top has 3 sections for magazines, newspaper or sheet music. The bamboo ends are capped with decorative brass discs. The base has a lacquered shelf for extra storage, height 7”. Note the brass feet end caps with a makers name ‘Needhams’. These patented brass caps seen on bamboo furniture are usually found on the best quality bamboo pieces. Recently waxed and polished.
