Lucien-Philippe Moretti is a French painter born in Suresnes in 1922, died in Étretat in 2000.
A student at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris in the 1940s, he was named an associate member of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts in 1947.
Moretti will live for several years in Montmartre. He left La Butte in 1963.This work presents a striking portrait of a young girl with red hair. The delicate treatment of light accentuates the warm tones of her locks, reflecting an innocent softness. The blurred background, dominated by greenish tones, highlights the subtle contours of the youthful face. The child's dreamy gaze evokes a deep inner emotion, capturing the essence of innocence. The finely sketched facial features demonstrate impressionist mastery, while the bold touches of color offer vibrant vitality. The artist's signature in the upper corner adds undeniable authenticity to the work. The balance between warm and cool tones, as well as the skillful use of shadows, illustrates a technical mastery that delights the viewer's eye. This painting embodies a moment frozen in time, imbued with sensitivity and expert craftsmanship. Original frame
