While the sun covers the mountain top, the valley lays still in the shade. The mood is peaceful and serene.

The talented artist, Ruth Durlacher, born in Massachusetts in 1912, worked in New York and sold her paintings throughout the United States and Europe. She painted portraits during personal sittings of HM Queen Elizabeth, HRH Princess Margaret, the Duke and Duchess of Windsor, among other elites. Durlacher studied in Paris France at the l’Ecole des Beaux Arts and attended the Yale School of Fine Arts.

This painting comes from the estate of the Durlacher family.

Condition is very good.
