This tall but narrow Elm and Burled walnut is called an Homme Debout or "standing man". This is a piece of history. Its origin came first from Vendee during the French revolution where royal insurgents called the Chouans could hide in these cabinets by removing the middle drawer as well as the shelves. Contrary to the Bonnetiere which has only one door.
Nowadays you can put your TV on top , your electronics on the bottom and dream about the past !!!!
Two doors separated by one drawer, sides have a triple panel , a corniche and escargot feet. Silvered metal hardware. These were artisanal and made on commission.
