Everything on my site is 1950's to 1970s and there are a number of pieces that have to be touched up or refinished. The age beauty and quality of this piece begs to be listed as it is in it's untouched state. In the past someone allowed an object to be placed in the center of the console leaving a water mark.
The designs are traditional village scenes on top of the console with the Universal geometric "Greek" Key sign around the top edges. The sculptural 2 piece legs are indicative of a much older piece of Chinoiserie furniture than we are used to seeing. They have been no doubt been lost to history because of world conflicts or changing taste in design. I found this piece in the Knob Hill section in San Francisco California. See less
