Gorgeous Birdseye Maple veneers are in great shape. Massive faux bamboo corner posts are topped with ribbed ball finials. Solid and superbly crafted, made in America around the 1880's during the Aesthetic Movement. The headboard is 65 inches tall and the footboard is 41.5 inches tall. The inside width is 55.5 inches and the inside length is 78 inches.

PLEASE NOTE: Unfortunately there are missing and broken half-hoop details, especially on the footboard. As-found, the bed is all original. Please examine photos carefully and feel free to ask questions.

The headboard has two repaired/glued half hoops (please see closeup photo) and one loose half-hoop that spins but is intact. The footboard has six missing or broken half hoops. Included is a small bag of parts which consists of some dowels, a drop finial and some hardwood hoops to restore the missing parts. Also, the casters are long gone as are the bed slats. Still a gorgeous bed even with it's flaws, definitely worthy of a little time to restore the footboard details... thanks for looking!!! See less
