Having fallen in love with the local artisans and all their detailed,beautiful and well made works,he ended up with so many, many pieces. This statue is called BANDA DE CHOTA where most of the villagers were brought over as slaves from Africa.The history of Chota,outside Quito, is incredibly interesting,and my Dad was enamored with it. This of these musicians and their instruments is just spectacular. My pictures do not do it justice.
The statue is 22 1/2" LONG X 23 1/2" TALL X 6" Depth. It weighs about 20 pounds.
This was made in 1990 and is in excellent condition.It has been quite the masterpiece admired by so many all these years. It is only due to downsizing that we are having to part with,especially since we have so many. We hope that it will go to someone that will love and appreciate as we have.
I am not sure of the shipping cost though I am willing to ship anywhere,providing it is covered. I have even used a couple that delivers who have done several moves for me.
