Rich with tradition, these beautiful vintage jars (vases) were handcrafted by artisans in the renowned pottery region of Mijiu in China. Once used for rice wine fermentation and storage in the countryside, they feature a pink finish and a ribbed texture. A great example of Chinese pottery, their imperfections and aging over the years contributes to their appeal.

An antique glazed pottery jar with incised, combed decoration. Made for fermenting rice wine. Found in the Zhejiang province in Eastern China.

These glazed Chinese ceramic jars from the turn of the 19th century were once used for pickling foods. There are some brush stroked lines that also occupy the outer surface.
