Antique Chinese Qing Dynasty Kangxi Period (1662–1722) porcelain wine pot or teapot in famille vert glaze. Decorated with panels of insects, butterflies and birds among flowering branches surmounted by a faux bamboo fixed handle. Measures 7 1/2" tall x 5 1/2" across over spout x 3 3/8" deep. Has a series of tight hairlines - see photos. Lacks lid. Displays well.
A similar example in the permanent collection of the Metropolitan Museum, New York City.
