Citizen of Geneva and Schottikon (ZH). He was a landscape painter and he was a glass artist
At the dawn of his thirties, he worked alongside Alexandre Cingria and Marcel Poncet on two projects which constituted the beginnings of the "renewal of sacred art" in Geneva.
The first is that of the Notre-Dame Basilica, where in 1915 he created an Art Nouveau-inspired stained glass window dedicated to Elisabeth of Hungary, made in memory of Empress Elisabeth of Austria, known as Sissi, assassinated in 1898 on the territory of the parish (on the Quai du Mont-Blanc)
He then worked at the Saint-Paul Grange-Canal church, where the architect Adolphe Guyonnet placed his trust in him by granting him the creation of three stained glass windows for the windows of the aisles of the nave. The same year, he was called to the American Emmanuel Episcopal Church to imagine a teaching Christ for the chancel window. This piece has an attribution mark,
