The subject is a … Read more This landscape oil painting was painted onsite, "en plein air" at Maymont Park in Richmond, Virginia. The subject is a close view of the branches of a group of very old and large evergreens where the draped branches were of particular interest along with the strong light/dark contrast. It is framed in a plein air gold painted frame 2.75" in width. Painting is oil on stretched canvas.

Teresa DiMarco, Richmond artist and plein air painter, sees and captures planes of light, geometric shapes of color in the landscape, and dramatic perspective in interiors and still life. She works in oils and oil paintsticks onsite, "en plein air" creating spontaneous and expressive works. Graduated from University of Virginia. Studied art for 25 years at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Studio School, Nimrod Hall Art Workshops, and under the instruction of artist Curney Nuffer. She has exhibited at Artspace Gallery, the Studio School at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, CrossRoads Gallery, Zeus Gallery, and numerous other shows in Richmond, and has won awards at the Bath County VA art show. Her work is held in many private and public collections across the U.S.. See less
