The rich and varied portrait of rustic red complemented by aqua blue, forest green, orange, and bold black repeats four lotus palmette motifs (symbolizing rebirth) in the mesmeric, finely woven field, wrapped by uniquely colored spandrels and a series of intricate, mirrored borders; the most prominent of which portrays a series of dancing Boteh paisleys, representing flame and the universe in this elegant-meets-tribal portrait.
